Mandatory Managers/Coaches Meeting will be on March 11th

03/02/08

By Webmaster

The Meeting will be held on March 11th 6:00 pm @ Cascade Middle School

Please arrive a few minutes to 6:00, we need to get started promptly at 6:00 pm. The doctor who is helping us with sports medicine needs to start right at 6:00 and he will be done by 6:45  we will be holding our coaches meeting that provides manager/coaches with their team book, first aid kits, equipment, scorekeeping books, rule books, and mandatory first aid training. During this meeting we will be passing out the credentials/keys that authorize you access to field.

A number of folks have asked questions concerning this training so let me reiterate that all three manager/coaches training clinics are exactly the same. You are required to attend only one (1) of the three in order to receive you coaching credentials. We will not make any acceptations to this rule.  I don’t keep bringing that up to sound like an authoritarian jerk, it’s just that I don’t want anyone to claim they did not understand the boards position. Please bring your glove and tennis shoes, this training require your participation.  No matter how long you have been coaching, there will be something learned and shared by all. The other two training dates if you cannot come tomorrow are Wednesday March 5th @ Grand Slam 6:00pm to 9:00pm and Saturday March 8th @Grand Slam 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Majors / Juniors Draft

02/06/08

By Webmaster

Actual “drafting” applies to coaches in divisions Major and above, however the 7 day trading window applies to all ages, teams, and divisions.  The draft will be held on Tuesday March 4th beginning at 6:00 pm. Managers and coaches please read this draft document thoroughly.   Players grandfathered on your team (i.e. they played on the team last year) who fail to participate in the evaluations will impact your draft position and the placement of other players by the player agent.  We have done a lot of work this year in our evaluations to create a grading matrix for teams and players by category.

We are also using these evaluations to promote All Star fervor among the players and the league.

Learn more about the draft here.
